Another habitat enhancement project completed by our Treetec team of Arborists and Ecologists in December 2022.

With the support of Parks Victoria and Friends of the Wildlife Reserves Inc. we installed 50 introduced wildlife hollows in Gresswell Forest Nature Conservation Reserve in Bundoora.

Using chainsaws and the Hollowhog tool the introduced wildlife hollows were created with small entry holes 25mm and 38mm diameter. Targeting local wildlife including small birds such as pardalotes & Red-rumped Parrots, also mammals such as Krefft’s Gliders.

Treetec arborists used the Tec-Door wildlife hollow technique and also the Hollowhog tool with modified Tec-Spouts to instantly create wildlife homes into living trees within the reserve.

We can’t wait to find out which of our hollow dependant fauna moves in!
